THE HOLISTIC APPROACH
You’re a person first and an athlete second.
Lynda’s holistic approach means its’s not just about swim, bike and run, also about understanding the mind, body and increasing strength and confidence.
Focusing on You
At Rowan Performance Coaching we take the holistic approach and include all the elements to support you and build towards your goals and aspirations
01 — Flexibility
As an athlete you may be thinking of body flexibility, yes it is important, BUT we are talking about flexibility in the program we write for you. Needs always change and training goals always change. We can adjust the way you approach your training plan.
02 — Strength
YES, it is important we will include your strength program into your training plan. It is an important part of it not an add on. You may have heard of the phrase “Lift Heavy Shit”. I believe in this at the right time in your program and in a safe way.
03 — Endurance
Improvement comes from sustaining and enduring effort over time. How we do that depends on your ability to be consistent with your plan and your body adapting to different stimuli over time.
04 — Confidence
Confidence in each other is the biggest success of our partnership. We will build confidence in you so that on race day you will have not doubts at the staring line.
05 — Readiness
Being ready for that session or being ready for that big race, is my point of difference. We consider all aspects of your day, not just swim bike and run. We will prepare you to be a performer on the days that matter.
06 — Recovery
Both the mind and the body are part of your training plan. We work around life events so you can feel ready and turn up the intensity at the right times.
07 — Mental Health
We talk about your state of well being both physically and mentally. This helps us understand the intensity and duration of sessions that will help you and not drive you into a negative dark hole. Remember this is fun and we do it for our well being!
08 — Spirit
We want to create a positive energy when you are completing your training sessions. When you finish you will feel those endorphins and be ready to take on the day!
